Your companion for the mountain, and the mountain within. Think it. Be it. Live it.
Private to the Kili 2027 group. Dates, money and documents: Aya at Rahhalah. Safety: Samer. The inner journey: Joe. Everything else: Moe.
Walk slower than you think you need to, and then slower.
You do not need to be an athlete. You need to walk for many hours, day after day, comfortably. Fourteen weeks from Monday October 12, 2026.
Tap a session to log it. Ten seconds. Rest days count: never train through injury or illness.
Earned for preparation and consistency, never for speed. Only you see these.
A 5 to 6 hour hilly hike with a loaded pack on two consecutive days, plus 45 to 60 minutes of steady cardio, three weeks out. If you are not sure, tell us. Honesty in November beats struggle in January.
What matters most, in order: time on your feet, downhill legs, a back that can carry a daypack, a slow steady aerobic engine, recovery. What does not matter: running, being lean, lifting heavy, altitude tents.
If you are injured or unwell, stop the plan and speak to your doctor. This app never replaces that conversation.
Tick what you own. Boots: full ankle support, one full size up, broken in over 40 km. Duffel 80 to 120 L, 15 kg limit. Daypack 30 to 40 L.
Passport, cash, medication, boots, power banks, camera, head torch, glasses, and one full set of mountain clothes in your daypack on the plane. Never in checked baggage. Bags get lost; you still start the mountain.
Sleeping bag, mattress, mittens, duffel, gaiters, poles. Reserve early; supply in Tanzania is limited. 2027 prices arrive in the upgrades email from Rahhalah. To be confirmed
Leave at home: cotton, jeans, hard suitcases, drones, plastic bags, jewellery, a full pharmacy, the third fleece. Weight limit 15 kg in the duffel.

From fifteen years of Rise to Success climbers. Short answers on purpose; the Manual has the detail.
Documents open in Google Drive. Save them to your phone before you fly; there is no signal on the mountain.
Timings are from previous years. We will confirm the 2027 plan at the December briefing. The guides' decisions on the mountain are final, and always about your safety.
Emanuel's film team documents the journey. Your choice here is recorded with a date. Nobody is filmed in a vulnerable moment without asking first.

Status reflects training logs, not medical clearance. Rahhalah confirms insurance, medical and payment. Journals, backpack, check ins and how a session felt are never visible here.
